Personal Touch Carpet Care has become the first small business to win a Better Business Bureau Torch Award in both Tennessee and Alabama.

David and Alesia Sanders, owners of the firm recently received one of the three 2004 Torch Awards presented by the Better Business Bureau of North Alabama.

Personal Touch was presented the award in the small business category for companies having 25 or fewer workers. The Sanders employ three full time people as well as over 12 part time workers.

Winning the other two awards were 3M Decatur, which won for companies having 100 or more employee, and Hospice of Marshall County, which won in the category for firms having 26 to 99 employees.

Alabama Attorney General Troy King was the guest speaker at the dinner event.

Torch awards honors businesses that go out of their way to ensure fair and honorable business practices.

Personal Touch does business in Northern Alabama as well as southern Middle Tennessee.

Personal Touch Carpet Care has been in operation for 18 years and has received numerous awards and honors. In 2004 the firm won BBB area Torch Award as well.

The firm offers a variety of cleaning services, including carpet, upholstery, oriental rugs, ceramic tile and air duct cleaning. They are certified in 10 different areas of cleaning.

David Sanders, the owner is known International as the First International Carpet Spot Removal Champion; he is also a Certified Master Cleaner and a Certified Master Restorer.

Personal Touch Carpet Care works with insurance companies in caring for the restoration need of their clients. Personal Touch operates a complete water and fire damage restoration service.
